盧芷平 Alice Chih-Ping Lu 織品設計師，於2019畢業於Royal College of Art 皇家藝術學院MA Textiles ( Weave ) 織品設計碩士學位。
Alice 以她今年畢業於英國皇家藝術學院 Royal College of Art的作品《Soft Frames 軟的框架》為出發點，來探討光影構成關係的家居屏幕系列。除了日常中常見的窗簾、遮陽簾和門簾外，亦提供了可伸展與折疊的一體成型屏風。
Soft Frame is a collection of work exploring a personal interpretation of the formation of light and shadow; and the relationship between light, shadow, and the medium in between.
Taking inspiration from optical effects, such as caustic networks, stippled light, and penumbra, this project aims to create a collection of screens – curtains, blinds, shades and space dividers – that either interferes with or resembles, elements of light and shadow.

光與影在彼此的影像塑造之中互為不可或缺的存在。所謂軟的框架，便是在這塑形的過程中 以輔佐⽽非硬性塑形的⽅式產生影響的存在。以光學中由折射與反射生成的幾何光學現象和半影（penumbra，較淺⾊模糊的影子邊緣）作為整體設計發想，以光影重疊⽽而產⽣的多層 次⾊調作為主要⾊彩，《Soft Frames 軟的框架》是一個為現代家居而設計的屏幕系列。
《Soft Frames 軟的框架》最初的靈感來源來⾃多年前Alice與⼀位台裔美籍友人的對話：
⻄方與東方教育體制下所培養出來的思想之差異
⾝為⼟⽣生土長的台灣人，Alice不是不能理理解那種崇尚⻄式⾃由教育的想法。⾃幼擅長考試與應付作業，她從小就在不屑台灣教育體制下的⼼態長⼤。然⽽在求學的過程中，⾝為問題學生的我非常幸運地遇到了能夠包容與諒解我的幾位老師，提供她額外的⾃由與挑戰。
相較於西⽅教育的⾃由，東⽅教育的⽅針是以穩固基礎為主，因此相較於⻄⽅教育，東⽅教育下出生的孩子多有著更全面的知識。不可否認的是，東⽅教育的體制多以「限制」的方式培養學生，因材施教無法實現在一般的教室之中。然而⼀味地否定東方教育，在我看來多是自卑崇洋⼼態的體現。我認為所謂的「框架」，不⾒得只有「限制」一途，若能以折衷東⻄⽅教育體制的方式改善現有體制，框架本⾝則不⼀定是硬的。
軟的框架，能夠以輔佐的方式作為我們的地基與骨架，讓我們在現有的基礎上往外延伸與突破。
